Leap Adventures is seeking fabulous, organized, spirited leaders to join our team for the spring/summer season. Since 2006 LEAP Adventures has helped corporations, organizations, and schools transform their teams by transforming individuals. Simply put, we build and run terrific indoor and outdoor events and workshops. The LEAP Adventures model bridges differences, helps people grow, and creates stronger, better-bonded, successful communities and teams.

 

Spring/Summer 2016 available positions:

Outdoor Educators
Corporate Teambuilding Facilitators

 

Outdoor Educators

Activities and Responsibilities:

• Lead, co-lead, and enthusiastically participate in experience-based group bonding games, campfires, nature education sessions, and physical activities such as nature-based educational programming which can include but is not limited to guided hikes, pond studies, orienteering, leadership development, cooperative games, and adventure-based exploration

• Set-up and tear-down of events and activities, guide participants and keep programming on track

• Adherence to the Leap Adventures standard of service

• Liaising between site staff and client groups

• Overnight supervision of students

 

Qualifications:

• Experience in outdoor education

• Experience working with elementary to middle school-aged children

• Must have an inquisitive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude

• Must be interested in creative problem solving and learning new skills

• Must have excellent verbal communication skills and a professional bearing

• B.A./B.Sc. in a related discipline, or B.E.S., or Outdoor Recreation certified, preferred

• Current CPR & First Aid training

• Valid driver’s license and own transportation required

• Must be 19+ to apply

• Bilingual (English/other) a plus

Teambuilding Facilitators

Activities and Responsibilities:

• Lead or co-lead experience-based activities geared toward corporate clientele that focus on collaboration, creative problem-solving, group dynamics, fun and trust building

• Set-up and tear-down of events and activities, guide participants and keep programming on track

• Adherence to the Leap Adventures standard of service

• Liaising between site staff and client groups

 

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a corporate or government environment, and/or adult education

• Must have an inquisitive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude

• Must have strong debriefing and observational skills

• Must have excellent verbal communication skills and a professional bearing

• Solid fitness and a love of people

• Valid driver’s license and own transportation required

• Must be 21+ to apply
